  What light distribution options are available?

  Light distribution varies by product. Many of our cylinder pendant lights can be configured for downlighting only or for direct/indirect distribution to reduce glare and create a balance between focused and ambient lighting.

  What mounting options do Alcon Lighting pendants offer?

  Various mounting options are available for featured cylinder and cube pendant lights. Alcon Lighting offers stem and adjustable aircraft cable mounting, ideal for high ceilings or positioning lights at varying heights to create visual interest. Mounting kits are available for sloped ceilings. Some cylinder pendants also offer H-type track mounting.

• How can I customize cylinder and cube pendant lights?

  Since Alcon Lighting builds lights to specification, our products are customizable. For most products, you can choose:

  • Size
  • Finish and reflector color
  • Beam spread (fixed or adjustable)
  • Color temperature (static or color-tunable)
  • Mounting
  • Lumen package

  Many products also offer optional features, such as emergency battery backup and specialized lenses to reduce glare and control beam spread. Dark Sky and wet-location models may also be available.

  What optics do your cylinder pendant lights offer?

  Most cylinder and cube pendant lights in our collection offer multiple beam spreads, many with fixed or adjustable beam spread options available.

  • Spot light beam spreads typically range from 10º to 30º, creating a focused beam ideal for highlighting specific objects.
  • Narrow flood beam spreads cover a wider area than spotlights, usually ranging from 30 to 45 degrees, suitable for illuminating larger objects or sections of a room. These balance accent lighting with broader coverage.
  • Flood light beam spreads generally range from 45º to 120º, providing broad, evenly distributed light suitable for general and ambient lighting. Floodlights can evenly illuminate large spaces, such as open offices or retail areas.

  Adjustable beam spread cylinder lights allow the individual user to alter the beam spread for a specific task or situation.

  Are these cylinder pendant lights easy to maintain?

  Yes. LED cylinder pendant lights require less maintenance because bulbs have lifespans up to 50 times longer than incandescent bulbs and up to 25 times longer than halogen bulbs. Some cylinder pendant lights also offer an IP54 wet location configuration, so they can be washed with water.
